Is Obama an idiot for relying on the "Idiot Board" too much?
Former Vice President Walter Mondale suggested in an interview today President Obama stop relying on "idiot boards" -- teleprompters, that is -- to deliver speeches, statements or just talk about anything he has to say in front of an audience.

I don't see any difference between a speech written on paper and one written for a teleprompter. People are complaining about the wrong things when they whine about the teleprompter. The issue should be what the speech says, not where it is written.

No, every president since the introduction of the teleprompter has used one.

EVERY President has used teleprompters since they were invented. Bush tried to use one but couldn't keep up.

I can see the reason to use one in order to prevent forgetting something important, but it is irritating to realize he is "reading" to people instead of "speaking" to them.
