Rossi's latest escapade, the surgery (motoGP)?

Any thoughts on Rossi's decision to have surgery after Sepang.

I understand both he and lorenzo got a talking to from Yamaha after sundays event.

But now it sounds like Rossi is spitting out the dummy.

Motegi has to be one of the hardest tracks on the calender for his injury, yet he pulled out a blinding race against Jorge, (the man he said he would help win the championship !)

I thought it was close but clean on both sides. (I think most of us were shouting at the Tv supporting one or the other)

after watching the replay I agree with those crying jump start. and I agree the rules say NO movement, which removes the no advantage claim, or the forcing others to jump start. So I think Rossi should have been given the ride through.

Back to the question, Is Rossi just spitting out the dummy because its looking more and more unlikely Yamaha will let him test the Ducati after Valencia.

quiting with 3 races left leaves Yamaha needing to fill his seat for valencia.

Motegi should have been more trouble to him than it was, new engine or not.

I think he was determined to stick it to Lorenzo, and now he wants out.

what do you think, does he really need to leave now or is it just Rossi being Rossi.

He has dropped a couple of pegs in my estimation.

Update:

Nice pics Wiggysan, My point though was the fans who probably already have tickets to the races, especially philip island where people from all over the world travel. and it seems to me he IS fit enough to work. he is under contract, and is playing on the shoulder.

Update 2:

Sorry Vitor, I forget you see the races late.

Here is the latest Manx_Sue

He might as well go after Sepang.

The title will be over so why hang about. Fiat wont car as they are going over to Ducati as a personal sponser anyway.

As for saying he would help. I thought he said, that he would help Jorge only if the title was in reach ? If Jorge came third or forth, it made difference to winning the title at Montegi, so why help him?

As for the cleaness of the moves, I think this is as clear as I can make it !

http://twitpic.com/2un2od & as for the after race dummy spitting, well that was ALL Jorge : http://twitpic.com/2ue223

I really cant see Yamaha letting him ride the Ducati at Valencia. Shame really, Aprillia let him ride the HRC / HRC let him ride the Yamaha, but Yammy have taken thier ball home.

My advice, to both Dani & Vale is to now miss out the rest of 2010 and come back to 2011 fighting full fit.

Lets not forget, Dani & Jorge are staying on the same bike. Vale is moving to a bike that needs ALOT of work, and the last time Stacey Moaner rode a HRC it was a 990, so that does not count for toffee any more.

As for the jump start, it will never happen. Its just like we all know Tiger Toni #24 should have been given a fine for going down the pit lane the wrong way, but its a Spanish track with a Spanish rider. It was never going to happen. Im not saying its right, far from it.

As for going down a peg, I can see where you you are coming from, however, if Prezioni listerns to what Vale & JB tell him, I can see WT #10 been lifted at the end of the year.

Im now waiting to see what the TeleFonica Yamaha's are going to look like now Fiat have pulled the plug. I always liked the look of the MoviStar colours, they looked better on the Suzuki then the HRC, but it was still good looking.

    Roll on 2011 !

[ hi Proc... i think Rossi is regetting not having the shoulder surgery done back when he broke his leg at Mugello.. i was surprised at the time as i thought he had, it would probably have kept him out for an extra race back then, but would have given him a better run now

it's going to be pretty hard for him to claim to miss the last three races as he needs the surgery now after the showing against Lorenzo in the last two laps in Japan, it looks like he jumped the start but had he been given a ride-through we wouldn't have had that finish.

he his in a quandry right now he as a lot to do before next season, even more than 'Stacey Moaner ' ( that name want's copywriting ).. Vale is the most successful at Sepang if he could pull off a victory there and Lorenzo win the title there, Yamaha might be chuffed enough to let him test the Ducati........o#o

edit.. just looking at your late edit.. it's all carrots and sticks between Rossi and Yamaha then,.. that's fair enough but when they're making complaints about Rossi challenging Lorenzo, when the championship not decided smacks of F1 style team orders.. which is wrong in my book..

they didn't win the race, but all anyone talks about is Rossi and Lorenzo's battle of the Yamahas, pretty good for bike sales i would have thought

I have not heard about this ~ where did you hear this ~ I must admit I am very surprised ~ I really thought he would race to the end of the season ~ I wounder if after the battle between Rossi and Lorenzo ~ Yamaha have asked him to finish early in the season because they are worried they will take each other out ~ I was very worried on Sunday they were going to crash ~ it was so nail biting ~ I did not know about the jump start ~ but I've just watched it 4 times ~ and feel it was a jump start ~ there was a slight movement ~ I do appreciate your point ~ people have bought tickets ~ if I had been going ~ I would have been very unhappy Rossi was not there ~

Source(s): Edit:- Thanx very much for the stories ~ very interesting ~ I hope Rossi goes to the end of the season ~

    Hello Proc and everyone,

I have got to see that race! heheh :)

Regarding Rossi's getting out after Sepang, is the other surgery for removing the pins? I really don't know if he needed to leave now. Normally, these surgeries take some time but MotoGP riders usually surprise at how fast they get back on the "horse" heheh. He's probably trying to get ahead as much as possible...

Edit: Proc don't worry about that! I answered this question already knowing that I'd possibly see something, but the race is always enjoyable independently of knowing stuff about it heheh. Never stop asking something because of that!! :) Thank you very much for the link! :)
