Does Buck Martinez have the worst voice of any announcer?

It's that nasal quality. It makes me yearn to hear someone else's voice, anyone's. Maybe he's good (he seems kinda fair to me) but I watch the game without the sound. I just can't listen. He needs a voice coach.

When I found out before the 2010 season that he was going to be the Jays' full-time play-by-play man, I wanted to scream. Not only does he have an incredibly annoying voice, but he's also only about half as knowledgeable as he thinks he is about the game.

The late Skip Carey's voice was far worse.

Yea, he stinks. And he doesn't know that much about baseball either. He hangs around because he is one of the "good ole' boys" who gets recycled throughout baseball.

His voice is so annoying and he doesn't know half as much as Campbell or Rod Black.

I had to put up with him for years when he was part of the Orioles TV team. I don't miss him at all.

Better than Vin Scully.
