Will round up kill nut sedge?

We've applied it twice and we want to plant our annuals soon so image is not gonna be a good idea.

    It has a waxy cuticle that protects it - it's tricky to kill.

    If you "beat it up" with a golf club, to break the foliage and give the roundup some purchase in the cracks in the cuticle,you may have better luck. Even they, it can be iffy, and you may have to apply it several times.

    I find it easier just to did it out when I see it.
