I think insanity would be putting faith in a bunch of corporatists who's only agenda is extracting as much money from you while providing as little benefit to you as they can. That is the purpose of a business, is it not? 18 million dollars sent to dead people and prisoners. Did you read the whole story? most of the money sent to "dead" people was returned and most of the money sent to "prisoners" was legitimate. Finally, we are not "putting bureaucrats in charge of our health care." In most cases you will still be using the very same system you are using now. If you can't get even simple things like this right, why would I trust you? You are the one that is ridiculous!

Maybe a bunch of the 89,000,000 were dead BEACUSE they did not have health care. Talk about creative accounting, try explaining the 343 TONS of cash sent to Iraq and disappeared in a couple of days. Nobody knows where it went even the REPUBLICANS that sent it. That makes the 18 million look like chump change.
Chimp change vs chump change....hmmmmm.

Faith in a bunch of bureaucrats, who should be accountable to the public, seems less insane than placing faith in a bunch of greedy capitalists, who have no accountability to the public.
I'd rather have the president in charge of my health care than some penny-pinching insurance CEO.

The same people remain in charge of our health care.
Ridiculous that people still think it's a state system.

You people never read pass the headlines.
The inspector general found that about 72,000 of the 52,000,000 payments were sent by electronic-transfer and as checks to people who would have qualified to receive them — had they still been alive. The report said that of these payments, about 55,000 were sent because the recipients had died recently, and the Social Security Administration had not been informed of their deaths by states, families or funeral homes at the time the payments were sent. The remaining 17,000 of the mistaken payments were attributed to the SSA failing to properly process death records that it did have.
