Blue Buffalo Dog food recall?

Wow. What's up with all the dog food recalls? Why can't these guys' QA departments get their sh*t in order?

The worst thing I've ever fed my dog was some $4 crap I bought at Big Lots. I used to feed my husky Purina then switched to Canidae ALS when it turned out he was allergic to corn.

I always thought Blue Buffalo was a pretty good food. Oh well, I guess even the best slip up.

I feed Wellness CORE Reduced Fat. My dog really likes it and it is a good food. Also, he isn't very active so I'm glad that I found a low fat dog food that is also high quality.

My first food is Nutro Lamb and Rice formula. The food was fine to my dog but I found out that it wasn't very good and had quite a few recalls in the past, so I switched.

The worst food had to be 30 plus years ago with my first puppy - Purina Puppy Chow - I cringe at the thought that my mom picked up a bag of that because it was "the in food." Thankfully, years later so much is known about pet nutrition and we now understand why that isn't a good food. I see people in the store buying it and try and educate them but many feel it is good because their parents feed it to their puppies, and as far back as they can remember it has been around. Marketing definitely does wonders. My favorite is when I see a bag of Beneful on TV and they make the bag look oh so nutritious and if the consumer would just read the ingredients they would be appalled

Thus is why I refuse to rely on some far away big time company to create over-processed dog cereal for my pets. Thanks for posting this, as I'm sure a lot of people feed it.

Legit: I used to feed the Blue Buffalo Wilderness, and it was about as good as you could get on kibble (still not good though). Glad I don't feed it anymore lol. When I first adopted Chopper from the shelter, they gave us a bag of Hill's Science Diet (gag), and I fed it to Chopper until I got Blue Buffalo. When Sasha was being boarded at a friend's house, he fed her Beneful (double gag). She was overweight, had dry fur, and other health issues. So glad I don't feed kibble anymore

I've heard about this! It's really ashame that Blue Buffalo is having so many problems lately since a lot of people who used to feed crappy brands switched to BB. Now they will just switch back to Iams or whatever they were feeding!

Legit: I feed Fromm Gold Adult. The crappiest food was rachael ray nutrish. my dog threw it up every single time i gave it to her. and she smelled like peas. this went on for 2-3 days, then i switched to the fromm. she instantly stopped throwing up and i switched her to fromm in one day!

Yikes. I feed TOTW, so they better not be recalled or I will be mad!!!

The worse we ever fed a dog that we owned..was *shudders* Kibbles N' Bits. But we didn't know then what we know now.

I am trying to think the worst food.......hum... I am so particular when I buy them food and I am switching to Raw so it has been awhile since I bought crap.....I think it was a store brand like staters or something. But that was years and years ago....

Benniful. my parents wouldn't listen when i told them it was bad! out next dog i will be feeding either: welness, halo, or nulo.

Thanks for the heads up. I think the worst food I ever feed was Kennel Rations when I was a kid. I can still smell that crap.
