I wish I didn't like salt, but maybe your body is running low on sodium.
I had a friend who was a lifeguard who passed out in the pool. She didn't care for salt either. After recovering, she was able to ates tons of salt on her food without even tasting it because she was so sodium deficient.
As long as you aren't downing it all the time, then give in to your body's desire for you it. You may need it.

At best cravings are your body demanding a quick fix to mask a problem. Some of the stuff you get cravings for will actually make the problem worse. If so the better thing might be to starve yourself of stuff you crave. How do you tell? As a general rule, if you've followed the craving recently then don't go down that route again as the quick fix hasn't resolved the cause of the craving. Better to talk to a nutritionist or your doctor.

Well I don't like very salty food much either and tend to use very little in cooking (lots of pepper, herbs and spices though) and virtually never add salt at the table. I think that most of us get enough salt from where it occurs naturally in our food. Just occasionally I will feel the need for a salty snack and I think that is just my body telling me that I need a little bit of salt.
I think people who eat a lot of salty food don't actually have a physical need for that amount of salt, they have just become hooked on the taste the same as people who eat too much sugar.

Craving something is the body telling you that it wants it / needs it. Our body has salt in it and therefor needs it some people get rid of salt more faster when metabolizing. Some of us just need more of some stuff than others and it can also relate to the state of the body any given time.
