why do people value lawfulness?

why would people want to be lawful when most laws are corrupt?

There used to be laws that made it legal for factory owner to rape their female workers.

Laws that required people to hand over the Jews to the nazi.

Laws that subjugated colored people.

Why be lawful? it's not a virtue it's just stupidity.

Can someone give me one good reason why people should be lawful?

Laws represent the interests of the privileged classes. That is why property crimes are often considered more serious than assaults. The only reason to be lawful is to avoid jail, because privileged classes will prosecute you and make your life hell!

Law is supposed to protect & serve. It's supposed to be a collective agreement that the majority support. Law is useful because without it, we would be barbarians who fight & get nothing done(or maybe that's Republicans). Some laws are archaic, unfair, insensitive but STILL on the books. When greed takes over, there are many ways around laws as is so painfully obvious in America. But virtue comes from morals--that's an inside job. Decide YOUR morals & the rest isn't so problematic. Vote the wicked out of office, join a community that strives to make better laws, more realistic ones that include ALL classes.

Did your liberal college professor teach you this crap?

We are lawful because we are a civilized society. Laws are ever evolving to fit the needs of the time.

Now go get a job so you can pay taxes and understand what the heck the real world is about.
