What nickname can we give to my nephew named james?

Bond, ...James Bond.

My friend Jim (named James, he is the third his son his the fourth) named his boy James and they call him Jack. Really though, since everyone has a nickname before him and doesn't seem to go by James he could just be called James. I also like the idea someone had of waiting to get to know him a bit and see if any cute names fit his personality after he is born :) Good luck!

I don't think James really needs a nickname. It's short enough, and there really isn't 'a' nickname for James such as a name like Alexander or Samantha. I think the only reasonable nickname would be Jami/e -- and it makes the most sense. By the way, you can call him by his middle name and he could always pick up a nickname. You could turn out calling him beetle all the time, because that's his nickname.

Why do you need to give him a nickname? My nephew James is perfectly happy being called James. Or wait until you see certain "outstanding" characteristics that make a very cute nickname.

I would suggest you call him James. Why give the child a nickname?
