Is there a term in criminal law that describes the basic facts of the crime?

By "basic facts," I mean unbiased and fundamental facts that are neither inculpatory or exculpatory.

Here are some examples of what I mean when I say "basic facts":

- John Doe was found dead at such-and-such place and time.

- Jane Doe was the last person known to have seen John Doe.

- John Doe's body exhibited signs of physical trauma.

No. There isn't anything like that. Police reports are all supposed to be written based on facts that can be proved or that are believed to be true. There is no set "template" for things other then what can be referred to as the elements of the offence which are the key parts of an incident that must be proven before the police lay a charge.

I'm sure there must be at the beginning of an investigation.
