Is it weird to not be home by 2:30AM?

Most parents would not be cool with that. But it seems many parents don't do much parenting.

Most parents nowadays are "friends" with their children and not authority figures. They let their kids do whatever they want. So, yes, most parents would be cool with that. The parents are probably home sleeping right now and not caring what their kids are doing or where they are.

Our local police department has this problem all the time. When parents are called because their kid has gotten into trouble, the parents are mad at the police, not the child. They will yell at the police because they woke them up or because they have to go to work in the morning and don't want to be bothered by something their kid did.

Hm... I think it depends on seniority. See, I'm a freshman.. and I have to be in BED by 10:00pm. < _ < Though, I always sneak downstairs and use the computer until a LOT later.

The older you are, the more privileges you get. Some parents are also more lenient than others; I'm Chinese and I can't even go over my friends' houses during the weekdays.. :P

But I graduated high school in the early 90's. So what do I know.

What about curfew? In my state (CA), if you're under eighteen, you had better be on your property by 10:00 p.m. and not two seconds later.

I think OMH is right; parents don't do much parenting these days. Ridiculous. And stupid.
