I liked/loved a guy since 4th grade (I'm in 9th grade now) and I guess he sorta liked me back, since I'd catch him staring at me and whatnot throughout these years. I also have a best friend, whom I've known for 3 years.. She's kind of.. Immature. Meaning, she brags a lot, shows off in front others by making people around her (namely me) look bad, she teases people a lot, copies things that I do, and sometimes lies about her skills. She's just.. a really obnoxious person and is also kinda selfish. But isn't everyone?

Even though she has all those shortcomings, she's been a really good friend and I wouldn't have hung out w/ her for 3 years if I didn't like her.

Well, last week, she asked the guy I liked since 4th grade out and he said yes. Apparently, they're bf/gf now. I feel betrayed because she knows that I like him and even brought up the subject of me liking him a few times. She's also been quite embarrassing, like.. calling me ugly and just making very embarrassing gestures in front of him to hint him that I like him. (If that makes sense.. Bad wording, sorry. )

But then again... I wasn't really making any moves, even though I've had all that time to close in on my crush. And it's not like she doesn't have the right to go out with him.

So.. Is she wrong to do this?

I've always been told I was ugly. I have friends in school, and I know they're not intentionally mean. When I smile, my face is always scrunched up and weird, because I'm Asian and I have very small eyes and barely any eyelashes.

My Mom's friend, who's also Asian (Asians are very blunt) told me (nicely) that all teenagers are ugly at first, but I'll grow pretty soon. -_- She just told me I was ugly.

And last year, my best friend, who's also very nice.. Told me that I was pretty ugly compared to other girls. And then she apologized.

Also, there was this random girl in the lunch room who muttered something about me, (I didn't hear what she said) and she quickly apologized for it because she didn't mean to say it out loud.

Also, a lot of guys make faces when they're paired up with me for projects and stuff.

My friend today told me I looked exactly like Hiro from Heroes. -_- Hiro is a guy and very ugly. I am offended.

I also look very ugly in pictures. Is it possible to look different in real life and photographs?

I might have screwed up on Starfire's pose. Sometimes, it looks okay to me.. And other times, it just looks totally off. xD I just need a second opinion.

-Is it worth buying

-Is it laggy?

-You don't need an Xbox for this, am I right?

-Any prerequisites before installing? Or can you just put the CD in and install it just like that?

-Are there any differences between the PC game and the Xbox game?

I've visited a lot of the sites to see what was going on, and mainly just to see what they were saying about the people of my race. ( Asian )

I've noticed that a lot of supremacy groups don't give a crap about Asians. They're mainly protesting against Jews and blacks, am I right? I don't see ANYTHING about Asians in there..

It doesn't hurt, but I'm wondering why she's biting me. This didn't occur gradually.. She never used to bite me until today. It was like, BAM! So suddenly! I tried to feed her corn, but she kept going for my finger.

What are some reasons this could be happening?

I was celebrating my birthday w/ my family yesterday, and my friend came over, too. She poured the entire bottle of water on my hamster and she probably didn't like it too much. Could that be the reason? Or maybe she's hungry? My hamster is kind of.. dumb.. And I haven't seen her eat anything but the feed I give her by hand.

I'm 14 and I'm trying really, really hard to improve since the last round of critique I received. I think it's safe to say that I messed up on the shading and the neck/face area might be a bit off as to the porportions.. But other than that, I'm oblivious to all other mistakes! Hahaha..

-Anything I can improve on?

-Do you have any suggestions or advice on how to improve? (Such as shading and coloring.. Hahaha.. ? )

-Is this okay for my age? I know tons of people who are better. xD

I'm not trying to be a smartass.. This is an actual question that needs answers. Why is America in the Middle-east? Are we just trying to be a hero and stop tyrants? Is this just... a good cause or something?

Or are we doing it because we have allies over there?

Or is this a case of 'realpolitik' where we're fighting for some underlying reason and those countries, in some way, will affect our economy or just America in general?

Are we there to protect a resource/oil?

Or is it a combination of all reasons listed here? Dx Help me?

There's this thing on the inside of my lower lip.. It hurts whenever I try to touch it.. or even if I peel back my lip to look at it. My entire left side of the lip is swollen.

It's white, and it's kinda.. indented? Like, there's a white hole in it. My Mom tells me that people get it whenever they don't eat enough vegetables. (She's not just telling me that to make me eat my vegetables) when she had this, she would fix herself a giant bowl of salad and eat it.. Then it would go away the next day. O_o Erm, this isn't happening for me.

Also, she tried putting some weird, Chinese medicine on me (because she's Asian) and it helped relieved the pain.. Until the medicine wore away with the saliva.

Is this what they call a cold sore? It's not going away and how long will it take to heal? What causes cold sores in the first place?

I invested quite a large amount of time in that. <_< Damn picture. Shirking me off my homework.

Anyway, I'm 14 and I kinda feel like I'm lagging behind on the whole 'art.. skill.. thing' for my age. I'd like to know if there's anything wrong with it.. or anything I should improve, or just your overall opinion of the picture.

Literate roleplaying is one of the fundamental pillars of my life. A pillar that distracts me from homework, that is. ( Thank goodness. )

On the site that I'm with, there's a guide describing how NOT to make a Mary Sue and how to know if your character IS a Mary Sue.

The guide was long and tedious, but the entire gist of the survey was basically telling roleplayers to not.. roleplay as characters they like or would want to be in real life. I find this to be very stupid. I roleplay because I can't be a mystical, half-elf archer with a pet gorilla. I roleplay simply because I can't be the things I want to be in real life. That's probably why most roleplayers choose to roleplay, as well.

I tend to get immensely annoyed when people make their female characters weak, submissive, kind, caring, nice, sweet, unselfish, loyal, SHY, and on top of all that, they have a tragic past.. to boot! And the male Mary Sue characters? All of them are dark, loners, have some epically cool ability, and are demons. What really pisses me off is when their owners are grammatically impaired when posting and their paragraphs gradually dim down to one-liners.

Instead of telling roleplayers to... not create a character they molded after themselves, why not tell roleplayers to create a more intriguing/rounder character?

Okay, I don't understand why if some people break their bones, it means that they have to retire from their profession.

For example, I was reading about a woman who broke her drawing arm and had to give up drawing.. FOREVER. No, not just until her arm heals, but forever.. Entirely.

I was also reading about a man who broke their hand, and had to give up pottery-making. He gave up his profession and said he wasn't going to be able to do it anymore. Seriously.. What? Why is this?

I understand why a professional baseball player or a ballerina dancer would have to give up their professions because of a broken bone.. But an artist?

Why or why doesn't God exist?

I'm kinda confused. I've been watching some videos on youtube about topics like this, and it seems to me that Atheism really makes a whole lot of sense.

The Christian speakers on youtube have a pretty bad argument. They're either saying that the Bible is evidence of God's existence.. Or reality and the fact that all of us are here at all, and that evolution was able to happen, was God's doing.

I actually agree with the second theory.. Though I also agree with an Atheist's point of view.

What about you? Do you think God exists? Why or why not?

I'm an Asian, 14-year old girl living in New Jersey, USA.

The Questions:

When people think about the stereotypes of American people.. They're usually thinking about the WHITE people, right? I know that America is made up of MANY cultures and there isn't one, specific ethnicity.. But when someone in another country is referring to the American people, they're usually thinking about white people. Not Asian, not Latino, .. Maybe African American.

I also feel like when people call Americans dumb, they're mainly talking about white people, too. It's like they exclude Asians, Latinos, and Blacks or something.

I mean, it seems like EVERYBODY is bashing on white people.. and only white people. I know that every ethnicity and every skin color faces racial discrimination, but when it comes to white people, specifically white men.. It seems that all ethnicities assume a united front in calling white people racist and dumb.

Is there anything I can improve on? I got a lot of posts saying that I needed to work on the shape of the head, and hopefully it's better here.

I wanted to do a drawing with more than one person in it. I drew a really great picture.. But it lags whenever I edit it, since it takes up so much KB. It doesn't lag with zoom and stuff like that.. It's just really slow whenever I try to draw or erase. It takes up to 5 seconds for a pen stroke to show.

What can I do to make the drawings I want (with multiple people) and have it.. not lag?
