Why is Chinese Government afraid of Liu Xiaobo getting the Nobel Peace Prize?

PRC Communist Party has hijacked the country for 60 years. This is not the China it was supposed to be. The China with 5,000 years of civilization, good moral values, respect of the heaven and earth, were all deprived away by the foreign concept of Communism. And Mao and his comrades lied, cheated, murdered, and tortured so many to be in power. Their successors followed Mao's steps and continued with the horrors and terrors.

They imposed themselves on everything.

They taught the people for one party democracy (??) is best system. They invented this to tell the people for totalitarian system is democracy. What a spin-doctor!

They taught the people for communist party reign is chosen by the history and the people, thus they are here to stay.

Liu in Charter 08 simply asks for political reform, human rights, social security, tax reform, etc. He was charged and was sent to jail. The communist party hates him so much, I have heard a lady communist angrily asks on U.S. TV wanting to have Liu shot. This lady communist currently lives in the U.S. I suspect this is a communist party worker at Chinese consulate.

The communist party is like a gang that you can't get rid of. They'd do everything to keep themselves in power. Human decency, conscience, good moral values, are not a priority to them.

Liu is just one of the person who has spoken up. There are many more before him, and there are many after him.

PRC communist is illegitimate government. They don't like being told the truth. They don't like other brain-washed citizens to be awakened.

To-date, Tienanmen square killings, 89 democracy movement, Falun Gong, human rights, are all taboos.

The Chinese government (also called the Chinese Communist Party, CCP) is afraid of two things: 1) the people starting a revolution and 2) losing power. The first concern is a very real concern, as throughout history there have been lots of bloody revolutions that have set China back a long way, including most recently the Cultural Revolution. The second is just stupid, but they have been brainwashing themselves for so long that it is difficult to escape the cycle of ignorance.

Most Chinese people believe that they should take small steps to becoming democratic and don't want outside pressure or influence from foreigners. They are just content to be prosperous financially and make their own quality of life better. So they put up with whatever the CCP does. The CCP takes advantage of this and acts in a way that is pretty abusive and harsh.
