DVR how to record with out commercials?

Unfortunately you can't.

However you can use the fast-forward/30-sec skip buttons to avoid them for the most part.

It would be nice though, especially since almost 30% of every show you record is actually wasted on commercials that you're just going to skip or ignore anyways.

Can't do it. Wait until the show comes out on onDemand, or when you are watching the recording, you can press the skip button on your remote in order to go forward about 30 seconds, or to the next commercial/ show. Hope that helps, but it would be pretty awesome if TiVo or Comcast could record without commercials.

The only way is by recording channels that don't have commercials to begin with.

For channels which have commercials, you need to record the whole program with commercials, and skip them on playback.

You will have to copy the recording and edit them out.

Can't. Just fast forward through them like the rest of us.
