A friend of a friend was at my house and they burnt my carpet, they promised to pay but now they refuse?

Is there anything I can do to make them pay up? Legally etc?

If you can show any proof that this peron did it like, an eyewitness, a text message or voicemail where they admitted doing it, etc, you can take them to small claims court.

You will need good close-up pics of the burned area, the eye-witness and any other evidence.

You will also need to get two estimates (written) from carpet repair companies, showing the cost to repair.

Then call your local courthouse and ask them how to proceed.

small claims court, cost lass than 25 bucks, don't forget to send a registered letter demanding payment & telling them your will take them to court, wait 10 days, then file....... ( in Texas )
