Should you're BF/GF be automatically considered one of your best friends?

no best friend is someone who has been there for you

to support you and stick around when nobody else is there

boyfriend however hasnt been there much

then again 7years that has been a while, but still

Well, for me, usually a BF would be my best friend because if he wasn't, then I wouldn't really be with him. I would want to be able to tell him ANYTHING and be totally comfortable around him. Thats my definition of a best friend. =)

I think so. I mean if you are together and you probably know everything about each other. Why wouldn't he be your best friend as well. I'm sure he doesn't want another guy are your best friend over him.

No. I mean, in a sense when you love someone and they're your primary companion, they become your best friend. BUT it's very important to have a friend who is not also your significant other. So in a sense he's your best friend, but in the traditional sense of what a best friend is, no he is not.
