Receiving payments in ebay/paypal?

Hi,

I was told my buyer had sent payment on the 13th of October. It is now the 15th of October and in my ebay it says I have been paid. However in paypal there is no sign on the payment.

Does it usually take this long?

Thanks in advance.

Is there a egg timer symbol on ebay? If so that means the buyer has marked that payment has been sent but it doesn't mean you've received it.

Did you get emails saying you've been paid? Forward them to spoof@paypal.com and they will write back saying whether they are real. Scammers can send convincing fake emails.

Did the buyer or the payment emails ask you to post the item via recorded delivery and send a tracking number for the payment to be released? If so, it's a scammer.

Did the buyer ask you to post to Germany, Nigeria or Lithuania? (common locations of fraudsters)

Sometimes paypal can hold money until you get a positive feedback but I don't think it's that or you would be able to see it.

Don't post anything until the money shows in your account. If the money is not there your account can't be disciplined for failing to send the item.

EDIT: Oh - and look at the buyer's profile. Does it say they are no longer a registered user and do they have zero feedback?

he could have just click "paid" and not actually paid - do not ship the item until the money is in your Paypal act and it says completed

email the buyer again and ask him for his Paypl transaction number and date paid
