how to do my hair 1950s style? going to a 50s theme party. LONG HAIR?

im going to a 1950s party tonight my hair is long and straight, it is down to my butt. i have layered bangs that i can either curl or pin up, but everywhere i look on the internet for 50s hair is showing short curled hair.. i need to know a pretty, awesome way to do my hair for the party, there is gonna be a contest for who looks the most 50s'ish. please send links or pictures to help me? im 22 btw.

    the reason you keep finding pictures of shorter curled hair, is that was what the majority of women had in the 50's. For your hair, I would do a high pony tail with a ribbon that matches your outfit, curl the ends of the pony into a spiral at the ends.

    Easy! Tie your hair with a rubber band as tight as you can in a poney tail Then take a piece if hair and wind it around the rubber band and pin it , bobbi pi, underneath so the pin won't show. Put two big rollars in the botom of damp poney tail and let them dry. Take out rollars and either brush or big comb bottom of poey tail in an up flip making sure it does not seperate. Spray it, the botttom stiff so it won'T come down. Take short scarglike they used to wear in 50s and tie it around top of poney tail and let ends hand down, Better if you have one of those cheap chiffon scarves the average girl used to wear.
