Why should I support breast cancer awareness for women when women dont support prostate cancer for men?
...please dont say men get breast cancer as well....its less then 1%
its obvious you women that are insulting me didn't even answer the question with any logic other then your rhetoric insults. Should I report you as many of you other do? Fact of the matter is you obviously believe in equality only when it BENIFITS you.
Therefore, the many of you people on here who have insulted me leads me to believe that you do not support prostate cancer, because is a cancer specific to men only. Therefore, I will NOT support susan komen nor anything breast cancer is associated with and encourage others to do so as well.
Afterall breast cancer is the 5th leading cause...NOT THE FIRST!
Save the TATAs.....blah blah blah

Prostate cancer in men can be a serious cancer, and can impact ability to achieve an erection, depending on the damage to the prostate. Awareness in both prostate cancer and breast cancer prevention and early detection is important, and should be supported by women and men.

I have breast cancer, I am a guy, yes men get it too. I wish there were more awareness that guys can get it too. mine went to stage 4 before finding it. I have been going to the same docotr for 24 years, and had many prostate checks, both manual and the blood test, but the only time he checked me for breast cancer was last march when i said " whats this, it kinda hurts?" stage 4 is where it has already spread. I am fighting cancer now every day.

Don't support it if you don't want to. As others have said, get off your **** and make more people aware of prostate cancer if you feel so strongly about it. Breast cancer has so much advertising because people have felt passionate about it and done something about it.
Try thinking about the breast cancer sufferers who have to see all that pink advertising everywhere they turn reminding them of what they have and how it can kill them. That's not a very pleasant thing either so quite your whinging and channel your efforts into doing some good for someone else.
I too think that you don't really give a damn about prostate cancer or any other, you just don't like the breast cancer awareness advertising. If you don't like it, ignore it, simple as that. It may be annoying to you but it's not hurting you, yet it's helping a lot of other people. Show some humanity and stop being so selfish.
Cancer v cancer just isn't an option. I have breast cancer and I am getting really sick of people thinking that I am lucky because I have the 'sexy' cancer. There is nothing sexy about breast cancer, it's no better than any other cancer, it still kills! Yes, there is wonderful support for people with breast cancer but that's only because people affected have made that happen.

EVER since I was old enough to start noticing women I have been turned down by women for dates and everything else They are always real polite about it but still its rejection And in my life time I've seen my two older brothers and even my younger brother having children and even members of my family who where babies and children are now grown and having children It seems the lord wants me to spend my whole life very sad and very alone and because of that and because Im now 45yrs old I have decided to grow a very strong HATRED for all females this also means my own mother who I blame for putting me in this sorry world and I haven't spoke to her for 14 years And to every other woman since I never get the pleasure of being with a woman I don't care if they all get breast cancer They can all rot for all I care There was a time when I didn't feel this way about women but so many years have gone by and the loneliness is starting to take its toll on me health wise Im not a violent person and I will never hurt a woman but when I see are hear that a woman has been hurt are worst by a man I will take great pleasure in knowing that and if I do see a woman being abused by a man I didn't see nothing.ALL WOMEN CAN GO TO HELL!

I support every form of cancer and I'm a breast cancer survivor.
I volunteer my time with the American Cancer Society and participate in our annual local Relay for Life - which is non-specific cancer fundraising. I also am a volunteer with the American Cancer Society's "Look Good Feel Better" where with the use of my California Cosmetologist License, I will be teaching cancer survivors of all types of cancer how to make themselves feel better by applying cosmetics donated by many of the large cosmetic manufacturers in order for them to maybe feel a little better while they are dealing with hair loss, skin changes, etc.
Just because ever type of cancer is not getting the advocacy that breast cancer gets doesn't mean that there are not many, many people supporting the other causes. The support is just not getting the public's attention in such a large way.
Good luck.

You are starting to make yourself look slightly ridiculous with your campaign against breast cancer awareness.
You know from previous answers that breast cancer awareness is higher profile than that of other cancers because some women affected by breast cancer worked very hard campaigning for greater awareness and their campaigning caught the public imagination and raised huge support internationally.
Why, instead of whining about this several times each day on YA, are you not out there working hard to build a campaign for prostate cancer awareness. In fact, what exactly do you do to raise awareness of prostate cancer and support those suffering from it? Details, please.
'women dont support prostate cancer for men' - what a ridiculous statement. How dare you presume to know what half the world's population think, do and support or don't support?
I had a cancer over 99% of whose sufferers are female. My father had a cancer that is exclusive to males. My mother died of a cancer that is nearly twice as common in men as in women. I have at various times donated to and contributed to awareness efforts for all three of those cancers.
Trying to whip up some kind of 'competition' is a waste of time and effort. Why not do something more productive, either to raise awareness/funds for cancer in general or for what is clearly the type you feel most passionately about, prostate cancer?

You clearly have a problem and apparently a big part of that is with women.
I doubt you are capable of supporting anything or using any sort of logic as you are the only one who insists on making cancer a gender issue.
Someone asked “How many men die of prostate cancer per year?”
And you’re insightful response? - “it doesnt matter...the only thing that matters is breast cancer!”

If you think prostate cancer does not have enough attention than get off your lazy whiney a$$ and do something about it rather than criticize and complain those who have.

You know what, I bet the majority of all prostate cancers are found when women push their husbands to go for a regular check-up. Do you have any justification for your claim that women don't support prostate cancer awareness? (I assume that's what you mean--or maybe you do in fact mean that women are opposed to prostate cancer itself, which I would tend to agree with.)
Just as an aside (not sure if you're the same one with the testicular cancer agenda), the only person I know personally that I know had testicular cancer, his wife found it (later she dumped him).

Instead of supporting "awareness" why don't they support prevention and cures? Breast Cancer already has way too much "awareness" just because it has to do with boobies.
I do agree that prostate cancer, just like the other top three cancers, should get more recognition than one less dangerous. It doesn't sell as well though because boobs are what sells things.
