Boarding School in Europe? Will European hate me because I'm American?

I'm 15 and next year I really want to go to Boarding School, because me and my family are constantly moving and personally I can't stand America. My family is originally from Brazil and I feel more Brazilian than American. I lived in Brazil until I was 5 and my family and I go there any time I don't have school. My dad can't speak English so I'm constantly speaking Portuguese with him. I want to move to Europe, because I think it would be a GREAT experience. I'm just so worried the Europeans won't like me, because I am American. I always here about how much Europeans hate Americans but I don't really see myself as the average American, because I don't think I was raised that way. I just wanted to know if i'd be okay as a new student in a new country. I speak French, Spanish and a little German too. I know that Europeans always complain how Americans don't know any foreign languages. I'm worried I wouldn't make any friends because of all the stereotypes and such.

Update:

I wanted to go to a school with an IB program so I suppose it would be international. The school I am really interested in is Wellington College. Only 12 percent of the school is international, so I'm not sure if there would be many Americans. I just don't want to be hated when I get there, so I want to know what to expect. I also don't mind leaving my family. They agree that I need to learn to live on my own a little. We move almost every year and now that I am in my last 2 years of high school I want to make sure I stay in one place.

I'm not European and I haven't travelled all of Europe so I am not too sure. There is some anti-American sentiment, as I said, but I was probably exaggerating. I doubt if you would have too much trouble in school. Especially if you are not "american" in your personality.

I doubt that you would have any problems, especially if you are a cool person.

If this school is in the UK, then what I said doesn't really apply. I was thinking more of mainland Europe. I think the UK has much more in common with the US. They may be a bit snooty and talk very proper with their cool accents, but their culture is pretty similar. I was thinking more of France, the German countries, Eastern Europe, and Scandinavia.

    a. Most Europeans got here to this nation legally, so they have got no cause to must return. b. I do not suppose you've gotten studied race or historical past itself cautiously adequate. First of all, each and every race has been round for a minimum of forty thousand years. The Indians got here right here from Asia 15 thousand years in the past (on the MOST) in order that they don't seem to be a real race. Since they don't seem to be a race- however as a substitute a department of the Asian race- they're immigrants from Asia. They got here right here around the Bering Strait, and almost unfold out in all places North and South America. Most tribes had no marked territory and have been nomadic. (The few that were not have been most of the time extinct.) When the immigrants from Europe got here, the land used to be as a lot theirs because it used to be the Indians'- they didn't have it marked- and the Indians fought again at them. It used to be the age of exploration and conquering- all countries on the time fought for land (This used to be the case in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and so on.) in order that the Europeans' combating again makes superb feel, in particular on the grounds that it used to be performed in self-security. Secondly, the nation itself used to be constructed by means of English guys and females, they usually mounted legislation that placed regulations on immigration, and so on. Anyone who got here right here after that's to be viewed unlawful or authorized. As for the Indians- you're included from taxes and the non-Indian cultures should you keep on reservations. However, on the grounds that your possess humans demanded the correct to function playing amenities, you maybe seeing plenty of non-Indians.

We don't hate americans, we just don't like that american ego americans show sometimes. You seem to be pretty adult and educated, i think you'll be ok. But still, it differs from country to country and from person to person.
