How much does a half a calf cost these days?

Hi Seenotes, It would depend on the quality at source, the better quality meat = higher cost of course. You would also get cuts that you may not want or be able to use - Imagine just butchering or even mincing that amount and unless you have a very large dog there is only so much you can do with all the bones. You could however check out a butchers suppliers and bulk buy the quantities of the cuts you like. I'm sure you would get a fair price if you could get to your local meat market and shop around amongst the various suppliers - there is plenty of competition at these markets too.
