Vaccinations are NOT a 100% guarantee. Also did you consider possibly Heart-worm, it starts out as a cough. Also my APBT had the same symptoms and he had a bacterial infection and the only way it could be diagnosed was through blood work. Then additional symptoms started that made it appear to be parvo, until we ruled it out with the blood work!

It is very important that you do not let your dog get dehydrated, dehydration can be fatal. Make sure she drinks a lot of fluids. To check for dehydration, pull the skin up off the back of the neck and let go, if it springs back right away she is fine, if not she is getting dehydrated.

Best to consult your vet you do not want it to get worse. Is there any mucus around the eyes at all?

Well good luck and hope pooch is better soon! *;*

Kennel cough is usually spread in a pet store when they are around other animals in close quarters. A dog will not get it being by itself. I thought by dog had kennel cough, but it turned out that she pulled on her leash too much when being outside and it was hurting her little neck. Once I got her a harness, the coughing has stopped, and I was able to train her to not pull on the leash. I think this is what the problem is since you have a small dog. I would change the collar to something else and see how that goes for you.

I might suppose she has some thing caught or lodged in her throat. Probably proper on the very again that's inflicting a gag reflex. This might be some thing, hair, a work of bone, string and many others.... Depends if she chews on some thing as to what she will have caught. Or she will have a development in her throat, that's in general now not specially damaging however might be inflicting inflammation. You have to take her to the vet as quickly as viable to get this looked at. If it's left untreated it might rationale her to disregard her meals after which she'd grow to be in poor health. Phone the vets and get her in as quickly as poss! Hope she's good enough! :)

She could have a sinus infection, a virus or even pneumonia. If you were sick and weak, wouldn't you go to the doctor? You need to get the dog to a vet in the morning! Dogs don't get colds like humans do.

    Vet time obviously.

There's no such thing as "just a cold" with animals, get him checked out ASAP.
