can someone help me with this dosa recipe?

I was trying to make my own version of dosa at home. However i accidentally put a lot of methi seeds while preparing the batter. Now the dosas come out great but they are obviously a bit bitter in taste. Is there anything i can do to reduce this bitterness? please help :-(

    Hi Dia :-)

Hmmm eventhough I'm not a good cook, i'll suggest u what my aunt used to do for this. Add sooji in that mixture and soak it for few minutes, dosa will become more crispier and less bitter.

Have a great day friend :-)

To reduce the bitterness you have to add other ingredients like rice and udid dal in the same quantity to balance the methi. Or you can make another dish of the same batter. The recipe is as follows: Add grated fresh coconut, few curry leaves, green chili pieces and salt to taste. Then on a hot shallow pan ( where the oil gets accumulated in the centre) add half teaspoon oil and put some brassica seeds. After they sputter put the batter on it and spread a little. Fry from both sides and serve with chutney. Addition of coconut will reduce the bitterness of the batter.

Add some Aata (wheat flour) about a heaped table spoon for every 3 cups of the mix, mix well ensuring that there are no lumps. One method is to first make a paste of flour with water equal to the mix in consistency and add to the mix. It will reduce bitterness and also make the dosa more wholesome nutrtionally.
