I've recently created a website about garage lighting. It basically showcases garage lights from Amazon. I want to run a blog parallel to the site. Now i am running out of ideas. I just cannot keep writing about garage lights. What else can i write about? Creative ideas will be welcome.

I am trying to knit a v neck sweater. The instructions for the back say that i need to decrease one stitch at each end on every sixth row and continue this way for six inches. Then after i need to increase one stitch at each end and continue this way for four inches. Do i need to make the increase on a purl row as well?

I am planning to knit myself a sweater this winter. I've chosen a pattern that gives the finished size as width- 19 in, length- 22 in and sleeves 21 in. The cast on stitches are given as 150. The length is fine but i am worried about the width. Since I'm a bit on the heftier side i would like to know if there is a way to alter a pattern according to one's measurements. Any help would be great. Thanks

I recently upgraded to windows 8. everything's working great( i have compatible hardware from a previous cpu upgrade) except the monitor. The resolution is not up to the mark since i have an acer 15 inch lcd monitor. I am thinking of buying a new monitor. Can someone suggest some good monitor specifications that will be compatible with windows 8?

I have very basic knowledge of excel so I am a bit lost here. I have an excel file where I maintain my data. I need a formulae to count the number of times the word “nil” appears on sheet 1. I am trying my hand at crocheting. Right now i am trying to make a cellphone cozy. The pattern says-

Make 14 foundation single crochet (or chain 14 if you prefer to use a chain instead).

Ch 1, sc in the same stitch, sc in each of the next 12 sts, 4 sc in the next st, sc in each of the next 12 sts, 3 sc in the last stitch, join with sl st to the first ch. (32 sc in total)

Somehow i cannot go beyond the Ch 14. I understand that sc in the same stitch will increase my stitches but i do not get if i need to crochet in the round. i am totally lost. Can someone please help me?

I have an onboard sound-card that is okay for me at the moment. However it is not as powerful as an external soundcard. I have some cassette tapes that i need to digitize. For that i need a good sound card. Also i love to play music on my PC speakers. Can someone please suggest a good soundcard that would serve both these purposes? I have an Intel core i3 3.30GHZ processor and 4 GB RAM. Thanks.

i had a recent pc upgrade but now i am having a hard time connecting my external cassette player to my pc. I have an onboard soundcard with realtek high definition audio driver. My cassette player does not have any audio in/out jack so i use a cable to connect them both. (one end goes into the headphone jack and the other one goes into the line in jack of the sound card). I have used this setup successfully in my old pc but the only difference is that it had an external soundcard.

Right now i can only hear faint sounds while playing a cassette or turning on the radio. Is there anything else that i need to do to make this work?

I am considering upgrading my PC. However i have a few doubts. Almost all pc vendors suggest buying a whole new unit i.e. the CPU. The cabinet alone raises that cost beyond imagination. The reason that they give is that new processors won't fit into your old cabinet. Is it possible to integrate a new processor into my existing cabinet?

I am trying to adjust myself with using my new microwave. I want to know the difference between microwave cooking and convection cooking. For example i want to make a loaf of bread for myself. Do i have to use the microwave mode or convection mode? ( or is it that baking can be done for both the modes) Also if i use the convection mode will it do if i do not use a micro safe container? Please help anyone.

I was given a free microwave cooker and and an idli stand ( plates to be precise) when i purchased my microwave oven. However the idli plates have no bottom plate ( to fill the water) its just a stand. I want to utilize them anyhow so my question is that can i use place the idili stand in the microwave cooker?

I have a site that runs on wordpress. I changed hosts recently so i had to do a database restore into the new host. However i noticed that some of the tables haven't been restored properly. I want to know if there is a way in which i can restore those specific tables without overwriting data. (just insert what has been missed). I am a complete newbie in this matter. Nowadays there is a lot of advertisement everywhere regarding 3G technology. I am curious to know how does it help. Can i update my existing mobile connection to 3G or do i need to purchase a separate connection for that? Has anyone here ever used 3G technology?

Is it the normal candle wax or is it something different? Also can i use a normal wax heater ( used for waxing) to melt that wax? Just curious.

I was trying to make my own version of dosa at home. However i accidentally put a lot of methi seeds while preparing the batter. Now the dosas come out great but they are obviously a bit bitter in taste. Is there anything i can do to reduce this bitterness? please help :-(

I know about the chemicals and all. I am also aware of ammonia being harmful to hair. My hair have gone grey from the front and its really embarrassing since i am only 27. Although i keep using henna, it makes my hair dry and unmanageable and also my hairs never get an even tone. I would like to use color but am afraid of losing hair. Also how long does hair color last on the hair? can someone please advise?

We have an old PC but we are not interested in changing it since its gonna be of little or no use. However we are planning to at least upgrade the memory. The processor is an Intel Pentium Three 730 MHz. Just curious to know as to how much maximum RAM can it support.
