Which sound card should i buy for my PC?
I have an onboard sound-card that is okay for me at the moment. However it is not as powerful as an external soundcard. I have some cassette tapes that i need to digitize. For that i need a good sound card. Also i love to play music on my PC speakers. Can someone please suggest a good soundcard that would serve both these purposes? I have an Intel core i3 3.30GHZ processor and 4 GB RAM. Thanks.
Just to add, i have a Gigabyte H61M-DS2 motherboard.

You haven't provided with any motherboard specifications (whether it has free PCIe x1 or higher slot or not?).. but since you've got a pretty good processor I guess it should have enough accomodation for a PCIe sound card.. And you haven't said about the budget yet.
Get a Creative Audigy sound card..

or if you can spend a lot,, get a Creative sound blaster z ,soundblaster zx or soundblaster zxr.
And in case your's doesn't have a free PCIe slot, then try Creative X-fi Go.

It would be nice to know the motherboard model, as that will determine a) If you can actually add a worthy soundcard and b) Would it be worth it
