well what we use today in cellular preferences is 2G. 3G is the latest technology that enables large data transmission wirelessly!

you can have a download rate of that of a broadband in your mobile phone with this technology!

For having 3G connection, you must buy a 3G enabled phone, and a 3G enabled sim.

3G services are offered by very rare operators in india, such as BSNL, Airtel etc. these are even localised to a specific place. its not available everywhere!
