can i use a microwave cooker to make idlis?

I was given a free microwave cooker and and an idli stand ( plates to be precise) when i purchased my microwave oven. However the idli plates have no bottom plate ( to fill the water) its just a stand. I want to utilize them anyhow so my question is that can i use place the idili stand in the microwave cooker?

    just place it in microwave it will cook inside water if u think less steam take a pure bone china cup full of water and place inside the microwave

    which idlis are under sides become sticky if we are not pay attention.
