How do I amp a speaker?

I'm building just a speaker in a box.(200 watt speaker) I dont want to buy an amp, and its going to be in my house. i want to make it louder. And I'll rig any ideas you can think of. And if theres a small in home amplifier. Than i'll use that. It just has to work right. I just need a little boost.

    200 watts is what the max or rms? if it's the max u can get away with the small power the amp will give. U just need to cross it right.

    here's a site that I use in speaker box building. I built a home theater sub enclosure but bought an amp- plate style. All subs are powered as they need the extra juice to drop low. that's why they are amped separate from the other speakers in an HT set up. and car.
