Does Yahoo customer care delete spammers?

I spend a lot of my time on Answers not actually answering questions but reporting abuse by spammers. It's bad enough people just linking to sales sites, but lately I see people advising those asking math or science questions to go to http://www.google.com/url?q=http://77.78.239.64/~s... or other sites. DO NOT CLICK THIS LINK. It goes to a malware site.

I see these people's answers being deleted from the question. But are they actually gone, or just hidden from me, since I reported them? Also, in the additional info, I always say what the problem is, usually "Malware spammer - delete this user." Does Customer Care actually delete these accounts? Sometimes I'll spend over an hour in Answers, and I'm reporting the same user over and over. Shouldn't someone see that and kill their account?

Update:

OK, but see, I said that. When I report someone, I no longer see their post, but can others see it?

Also, I'm not talking about an individual spam post. I'm talking about the person who does multiple posts. Because as I said I report the same person dozens of times over a period of over an hour, each time saying, "This person is doing this repeatedly, you should delete his account," and he's still there.
