How much do you get paid for one dependent in the Army Reserve?

I'm adding my new son and was just wondering how much more it would add to my pay?

There is no extra pay for having dependents. Especially if you Reservist, you get drill pay. The only time it will be different is if you are getting BAH w/o dependents it will now change to w/dependents and the amount is about $200 or so more a month and if you are gone longer than 30 days on orders Family Separation Allowance of $250. The only difference in pay you might see is paying less if you are claiming more dependents.

For drill? Nothing. For active duty periods? BAH at the with dependent rates.

You are confusing the military with welfare..

Dependents only count for taxes. If you claim one now, you get back less on your tax return.
