I just received 10 points for a question I answered....two years ago. Wassup?

This, and many other mishaps, is why you don't hear from me too often. I would like some answers, or at least some commiseration.

    Some users go through questions in voting and deliberately vote on the oldest to help unclog the system. User Buzz Dawson even started a "Tiebusters" group a long time ago which focuses on voting on undecided questions. Check it out and join if you like:

    Someone voted your answer as the best.After it went into voting. This has happened to me a few times.A question I answered long ago went into voting.Sometimes it takes awhile for someone to come along and vote on best answer.

    that happens to me from time to time

    it could of taken a while for the tie to be broken

    once in a while i get them from months ago

    i even recieved one from 3 years ago

    The person who rated your question probably hasn't been on Yahoo! Answers in awhile so they probably just now rated your question as best.
