Why my Top Contributor label has been removed?
I use to have the Orange Top Contributor label below my name has been removed. I can't seem to find an answer as to why. I have gone to the help site and I have email customer service and no one can give me an answer. I have not received any violation notices or eviction notices. on my account. I have gone to the abuse site group and they can't seem to tell me why. Help! How do I get it back?

You need an undisclosed % of BAs in your particular category and if you fall below that level you will loose it.
I have found they come and go depending upon how much effort I put in as they are reviewed each week, and they take 2-3 weeks to regain.

Apparently your level of participation has fallen in the last week. TC badges are all about your recent activity (answers & Best Answers) in a specific category. TC badges reset overnight on Sunday. I usually lose mine when I go on vacation.
According to Y!A : "A "Top Contributor" is a member of the Yahoo Answers community who has shown that they are knowledgeable in a certain category. Each user can be a top contributor in a maximum three categories. You earn it or lose it depending on your recent participation in a certain section. The more positively you contribute, the more chance there is that you will get a TC badge. Just like featured users or category leaders, it's another way to give credit to community members."
Y!A has never said what the precise requirements are. It's commonly accepted that you need to answer a lot of questions (50?, 100?, who knows...) in a category and get Best Answers on a certain percent of them (probably 10-15%) each week.
You can have TC badges in up to 3 categories at a time. There is no TC badge for the Jokes & Riddles and Polls & Surveys categories.

The answer in a word is: frequency.
Simple... Top "anything" is rated by thresholds of contribution. You fell out of the window of acceptability. How else do you think that with my 47% best answers and level 7, 65K points, I am not a "top" anything?
I am not a daily member. I run for about 15-30 minutes every day or so when time is available. Some days, I am online for an hour or more, and some days not at all. I am NOT one of those who contribute frequently enough to qualify as a "top" anything, though my level is the max of 7 and I have a huge number of points and a decent best answer ratio.

If you stop contributing in the category that you received the badge and this also means not receiving the necessary best answers, then the badge will disappear. The badge is not permanent and once you have it you still have to work to keep it. If you have only just lost the badge this week then go back into the category that you gained the badge and possibly within a couple of weeks it will be back again.

It is a dynamic badge, so you have to keep working at it or lose it. Just do what you have been doing
