Is this phone for existing costumers?
http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/cel...
I just want to upgrade to a new phone but this seems like s good deal. And if I have problems with the phone it was free. I assume the $199 service plan is me renewing my current plan. Am I eligible?
just to reiterate; I have a contract with ATT, it is a family plan, we are goin to renew the contract if have not already. If you go to amazon wireless http://wireless.amazon.com/Samsung-Captivate-Andro... your plan changes the price but on the att website it goes into setting up a contract. I want to know the price after they see my contract and at the moment I do not have my account number handy.

I'm pretty sure this price is for everyone who signs a 2 year contract with this phone. You don't need to be an existing customer, you just need a contract with this phone. This phone is only free because it's refurbished. Refurbished phones are pretty much the same as new except they were sent back to the factory and work in perfect condition. A refurbished mobile phone should work exactly as a new phone. Also, this phone requires a data plan. Hope this helped clarify. (:
