The main line comming into the house is lead and we are replacing the pipes in the house with copper. How do you sweat the copper and lead pipes together? We have lead to melt but what is the best way to do it?

You know after you search for something in google you can click show options and there are a bunch of options to help you narrow you search? Why are the best going away? It used to have forum and reviews. Is this going away? If so do you know a good search that has these options?

I was trying to find out if the hp gained per level was linear or exponential? Is there a set amount of points that each level gains you or is there a percentage gain of the amount of health you have? I ask because if you do the x-x!v''q cheat you would only lose 50 hp and in the end that is nothing, but if you gain less per level because of your starting health then it would be a limitation.

My confusion is over Core and CPU, and AUX and System. These show different temps. Is CPU and Core part of the fact that I have a Penom II 945 95W? Is AUX a mobo temp and System an ambient temp?

This might be a dumb question but google would not help. Do you need SLI to run the GTX 295 or 285 or 275 or 260? And do you need Crossfire to run the 5870 or 4890 or 4870? Better question are there and single PCIe cards that require sli or xfire?

I have two hard drives. The one is older and had xp on it. when I got my new one I wanted to try vista but kept the xp. Now I want to try linux or OSx86, but need to safely get rid of the xp copy. My plan was to use the vista cd to format then run the vist cd again to repair. That should reset the boot.ini to single boot instead of dual. Will this leave me with an NTLD error? I do not have a second pc online to search for solutions after I format so could someone double check my method to see if it will work?

Just today I got an AMD Phenom II X4 945 95W cpu and I am afraid to lap it before I test it. Even the tech support at XFX said that my board should be compatible, but if I lap it and it does not work I am screwed. Should you always test before you lap? The test is not bad for the chip, I mean to pound some electricity through the chip then take it out and lap the surface that you just super heated? If some one knows of a link on how to test a new cpu before lapping to make sure that any RMAs happen before you loose the warranty I would love to read it. I see oh so many links on how to lap, please no real need for that education except warnings about the test and how long to wait cleaning off initial thermal paste and the likes. What I need is the test. How can I tell that I have a fully functioning cpu before I relieve myself of a return? Obviously if it boots vista I going in the right direction. After that is it prime, OCCT, 3DMark, CPUZ, Sandra, Speedfan, Fur tests, what load, what program, how long, should I shutdown and restart, cool then heat, OC or underclock for stability? I know there are some who have made many systems for enthusiast and I would love some advice.

I know a bit about hsfans. My question is what are the technical names and purposes behind them. There are fans that blow directly down on the mb cooling not only the cpu but capacitors and other components. Then there are those that blow towards the back exhaust fan removing heat from the case and helping with cool front air flow. Are there terms to specify these and which do you perfer?

XFX 8200 MIA78S8290 is compatibly with AM2+ up to 95W, but on the XFX website I found this list http://www.xfxforce.com/en-us/produc...tyList-AMD.... that says the wattage is the limitation and socket size is compatible. Is this true? If it is than this cpu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103... which was on the list at 125W could possibly work because it says 95W. I guess my big question is do all AM3 95W and lower cpu work?
