97 GMC Sonoma will not stay running?
Has gas and when try to start it, it runs extremely rough as if the engine wants to jump out of vehicle. Vehicle died while driving and got restarted, but had pedal to floor and speed was creeping. Could all this be related to tranny problem or is it fuel related.
Ignition switch has been replaced already a second time.

Sounds like a fuel pump or bad cap and rotor.Pull the cap and make sure there is no moisture in the cap, water in the cap and you will not get good spark to the plugs,if it is not wet then pull a plug and see if you are getting enough fuel or to much,if dry then check fuel pressure.

I would suspect ignition problem.
Choke, bad gas, bad plugs etc.
Not getting enough power to tranny.
