Which party recently passed a bill that will increase the customer base for insurance companies by 30 million?

and ensure record profits for those companies, several of which have headquarters in Liberal Connecticut?

Update:

Tom, you have much to learn. Harry Reid added in the Dream act to the military appropriations bill and voted against it so that he could bring it up for a vote after the upcoming election.

It is Democrats and Liberals that regularly claim that Republicans and Conservatives voted against Obamacare in order to preserve profits for those companies.

You need to rethink you lack of logic.

Update 2:

Mr. Wolf...I am not admitting anything as there is no guarantee that this entitlement program will be funded.

Update 3:

Renee, what major healthcare insurance provider has not seen profits go up during and after the discussion of Obamacare started? Try again.

Update 4:

Kirin...companies may no longer refuse benefits for those with pre-existing conditions...however, it says nothing about the rates that insurance companies may charge in premiums to cover any additional costs associated with providing these people with benefits.

The facts also show that millions will remain without coverage as it will be cheaper for them to pay the penalty for not having coverage.

And which party recently passed that bill that also added mandate after mandate, after which they are utterly SHOCKED that premiums are going up?

  • 1 decade ago

I am glad to say the Democratic Party. The mandate is the goodie for insurance companies to get the consumer protections like covering people with preexisting conditions, and the end of lifetime caps. Also, the mandate has merits because extra people will be forced to buy insurance. It will lower my premiums. I pay an extra $900 a year to cover the uninsured. If you pay extra so I pay less, hooray for the Democrats.

There should be a public option but the conservatives and Joe Lieberman fought it.

Businesses and individuals should have the option of purchasing health care coverage from the government rather than from the insurance companies.

The Democrats should have pushed through a public option but it is not too late to expand the health care legislation to include one. The omission of the public option was a disgrace.

None particularly. they're employing the cheaters to pay for the recent insurance. Poetic justice at its maximum efficient. end complaining and go purchase your self some insurance. we are uninterested in sharing the possibility with you.

Hmm if that's the case then why are insurance companies having trouble selling policies? I work for one and we do work-site benefits. Guess what I hear ALL DAY from Employers? "I think we'll hold off until we figure out what is required of us from ObamaCare, before we look into anything else." Gee, is it really giving us new policy holders.

What this will do is drive companies like ours out of business.

You do know that you are admitting 30 million more Americans will have health insurance.

Neither of them. The healcare bill will eventually put all the insurance companies out of business and make us all wards of the government.

great question.! probably the same one that will deserve credit for helping to save the 46000 lives that are lost every year because of lack of care. certainly not the reps which voted against aid for 911 workers. against aid to small businesses. against funding for troops overseas. my favorite against a tax break for 98 % of americans

    Democrats.

Once again they shoot themselves in the foot.

How many feet do those guys have anyway?

Well, I think the question to that answer is obvious, isn't it?
