What are some good hot appetizers?

For a baby shower, about ten women. I have some cold stuff already, but I"m looking for hot stuff that won't go bad or taste different after being out for a while. Not looking for any stuffed mushrooms, or any sort of dip. I have those already.

Sounds like a great party to me............although, most hot appetizers will taste differently once they cool off, no matter what it is, but here are a few that would maintain their flavor aspect even if the are not as hot once the evening progresses:

Chicken/Beef Skewers with veggies and a spicy dipping sauce (for chicken, I'd do a Spicy Marinara and for Beef, a Horseradish MayoSour Cream Sauce would be excellent!)

Veggie Stuffed Puff Pastry with a Roasted Red Pepper Sauce

Deli Stuffed Calzone or Stomboli (Mayo/Mustard Sauce) great hot and room temp!

Baked Chicken Wings with your favorite Sauce

Pizza Rolls in either Puff Pastry or Cresent Rolls

Roasted Carrot Sticks with Creamy Bleu Cheese Dip

Chicken Meatballs with Spinach & Cream cheese Dip

Chili All-Beef Hot Dogs (keep hot dogs in Beer Bath, keep Chili in Crock Pot on low) have some buns out and a variety of condiments (ketchup, whole grain mustard, finely diced onions and grated Cheddar cheese) I like the mini's for parties, so they are bit sized.....

Sweet and Sour Pork Skewers (actually made these for my house party a couple of months ago and they held up well for over 3 hours, used Pork Tenderloins) with a Duck Sauce for dipping.

Ground Turkey Sliders (little Turkey Burgers with Baby Swiss on Slider buns, a dash of mayo and mustard, a few caramelized onions) they were awesome, hot or cold, even ate them the next day (great taste and easy on the wallet as well)

I hope some of these suggestions help you and your friends to celebrate such a wonderful occasion while enjoying the tastes of some hot/room temperature appetizers! Have a fantastic week and happy cooking to you!

Stuffed potato balls- mashed potatoes and make real thick, set aside, In a bowl use a can of lump crab meat (adjust to how many you want to make) (not imitation crab meat) also in the bowl, diced celery really fine, diced green onions really fine. You'll also need a bottle of liquid zatarans crab and shrimp boil, well you'll use just a couple of drops of that and mix thoroughly. Spoon out the crab mixture of about 1 tsp. and spoon out 2tsp. mashed potatoes. Roll mashed potatoes into a ball , make a hole in the center and stuff crab mix inside and roll ball back together to form a ball. Fry in a skillet with just a little drizzle of canola oil, roll around until golden brown all over.

I like making a crescent roll wreath - here's one recipe but you can put any filling you like in them....they taste good even if they've cooled off.

    Good luck.
