want some info on boxers from other boxer owners ?
so, i took in a boxer puppy about two months ago, want to know some info on them, my brother had a boxer when i was a teenager but she wasn't my dog so don't know much, do they get hip displecia, don't know how to spell that sorry i know big dogs can get that thing where there stomach turns and the only way to fix is with surgery, but what are other things that boxers can get, she is 4months going on 5months, she is on puppy food, feed her 2 cups, 3 times a day, and loves to play with water, she has had all her puppy shots, has been d-wormed when she turns 6months im gonna put her on heart worm medicine
yeah i know i can do that, but books are books, what i really want is info from other boxer owners, and yeah i know about spaying and neutering and that is not an option, i am not gonna breed her, but im not gonna spay her, she aint gonna get pregnant, she is behind three lock gates, there is no chance of her getting loose, cause whenever i do let her out im always with her, and she is very obedient and doesnt venture far from me
yeah my pit was vomiting blood i did take her to the vet, they check her, she had heartwomrs, i have her on heartworm medicine she has been on it for 6months, and i just got her another 6months supply of the heart guard plus
i took her into the vet this month the vet told me to put her on science diet for puppies, so i bought a bag of that and have her on that
yeah the only thing that was bugging me was her jumping on me when i would wear shorts cause her nails would scratch me on my legs even though her nails were filed down by the vet, but after awhile of her jumping on me, i would turn my back to her, cross my arms on my chest and say no, and she stop

So far so good.
Like the first poster said, spay her when she's six months.
Also, what are feeding her? Food plays a HUGE roll in the health of dogs(food and genetics are where health problems arise, but a high-quality food can usually keep a dog healthy). Don't feed that silly crap you get at grocery stores. BEST kind of kibble, meat MUST be the first ingredient. NO corn, gluton, or any of that filler crap and grains.
She needs toys, and at least one hour of MAJOR exercise.
Training, definitely.
Boxers are high-strung, very hyper, but they are very eager to please, intelligent, and SO hilarious. They're fun and always interesting to be around.
If you train her, she'll be an AMAZING dog.
Good luck,

You should also Spay her at 6 months.
Do some research yourself: GOOGLE BOXERS! You will find a TON of information online. Also, go to a book store and get a book on Boxers. Ask your Vet. There are so many options.
