Is the recent suspension of three members of the Lords giving a message to the wider community.?

Three members of the House of Lords have been suspended for expenses misuse.

    Hi IVOR

The message it gives to me is that they are above the law of the land.

In any other walk of life all the fiddlers would be in Court to face charges of fraud.

I'll go back to tugging my forelock and giving the occasional curtsy to those who are more equal than others.

    Best wishes.

I dunno. What message? In the pictures I've seen before about Labour peers fiddling, they were all white. What happened to the fiddling white peers?

The only message it gives to me is that benefit fraud no longer carries a jail sentence or there’s one law for the rich and one law for the poor. If you’re a Lord or a member of the government fiddling tens of thousands of pounds then you’re okay but if you’re ‘fiddling’ tens of pounds by say letting a friend stay at your flat for more than a month then you can go to jail.
