    divide both sides by P,

    add up all the stuff in the paren,

    take the log of both sides to get y where you can use it,

    and divide both sides by the log of (1+0.6/12)

    Then divide both by 12.

    Go for it, I am tired and logs were last year.

    P=(1.6/12)^12y

    P=(.1333)^12y

    There where it gets tricky, but im to smart for it.

    Time both the exponent by 1/12 to get rid of the exponent 12Y; the 12 cancels out.

    It'll be P^1/12=(.1333)^Y

    Y=1/12.

    Hope you know that, square root can be convert into 1/2, You need to know that information, in order to do this question.

    Example. 3^3=3^1/3. 5^2=5^1/2. Trust me, Im correct.
