To keep the Democrat Party legitimate, or in other words, the liberal non sense would go broke if it had to pay it's way like other private sector channels.

    They shouldn't, period.

It is not in the Constitution so that makes it a usurpation of power on the part of the Federal Government when they seize our liberty and freedom (money) through federal taxes. There is nothing in Article One, Section Eight of the Constitution that authorizes Federal spending on this left wing biased rubbish. Nor does it authorize funding for other left wing operations such as the National Endowment for the Arts.

Besides that, in this modern age of telecommunications, there are an infinite number of stations which broadcast the same pro left tripe (CBS, NBC, ABC are free for the deadbeats who can't even afford cable and they spew left wing propaganda all day). "Dead" Air America failed because they couldn't get enough sniveling libs to send them $10.00 lousy bucks apiece. So it clearly proved that demand wasn't there. Why should I be forced to support something that is unconstitutional and not very popular. Let the libs pay for it out of their own pockets, its for them anyway.

And before any loser lib snivels that they 'don't want to pay for the military, but they have to', let me point out that Article One, Section Eight, Clause Twelve does specifically authorize the Congress to appropriate and spend money on the military.

If it didn't, I wouldn't support that either.

I could not give any reason to support your premise. I could give many reasons for why we shouldn't give taxpayer money to either NPR or PBS. They are both State run propaganda outlets.

As an alternative to corporate media, as an outlet for the arts and news.

Fun fact: You personally pay $1.43 per YEAR to fund all public media. The US has one of the lowest funded public media systems in the developed world.

NPR gets about 10% of its funding from federal funds.

Sorry you're wrong there. NPR gets the vast majority of its financing from ad revenue and programming fees paid by member stations.

Member stations get ~5% of their funding from the government on average, but they are only loosely affiliated with NPR.

    I can't speak to PBS.

To give a balance between corporate motives and government motives.

Yeah! Anybody who doesn't actively promote the GOP agenda is obviously part of the liberal conspiracy to kill our babies. Don't they know that the radio is reserved for conservative shock jocks.
