What are some decent places for a few young professionals to get a few beers in downtown Lowell? Looking for something between the Doubletree and Tsongas Arena. Trying to avoid the dance clubs, preppy bars, underage college bars, d bags in general.

Willies is a hole in the wall c&w joint with cold beer, and loud music. The dance floor is covered in peanut shells. Relaxed enough?

Cobblestones has a nice relaxed bar and is located on Merrimack St. near city hall.
