If mankind needs Jesus to be saved, then why did God wait so long before sending Him?

Actually, this is not such a tough question for the Xtians.

In terms of population, it wasn't such a long time. Certain things had to happen first. And some Xtians, like Dembski, beleive in "reverse causation"; the sacrifice of Jesus worked backwards in time, causing the salvation of the righteous who had died earlier.

If you are capable of believing that original sin is like an unpaid parking ticket but that God cleared it for you by having a son and torturing him to death, you will find these explanations very easy to believe.

What is WICKED about this strand of Xtianity is this: the claim that you will be saved or damned depending on whether or not you believe a self-contradictory concatenation of absurdities; that believing without evidence is a virtue, when in reality it is a dreadful vice.

Because the stake concerning the humanity, is not only the salvation, but a question of contesting the right of God's sovereignty on Earth by Satan the Devil (Read Genesis chapter 3. Bible), and the integrity of humankind (Read Job chapters 1 and 2. Bible) :

"Now after John was put under arrest Jesus went into Gal′i·lee, preaching the good news of God 15 and saying: “The appointed time has been fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has drawn near. Be repentant, YOU people, and have faith in the good news.” (Mark 1:14,15. Bible).

I read a quote by John Kennedy that I think is worth noting when discussing this subject.

"The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie, deliberate contrived and dishonest, but the myth, persistent, persuasive and unrealistic. Belief in myths allow the comfort of opinions without the discomfort of thought.

Good luck with your search for the truth.

It's a simple answer. Each member of the triune God (Father, Son and Spirit) has defined roles and responsibilities. God the Father is in charge of timing and events, so He decided when Jesus came the first time and He will decide when He will return in power and glory.

Ephesians 1:5 uses the following expression:

"according to the good pleasure of his will."

In other words, he will save mankind according to the way he chooses.

You and I should be humble enough, to be grateful, he chooses to save us at all, never mind how.

Because that's what was written in the bible, ergo that is how the myth was written.
