When saying "I do not know French (language)", do you use "Je ne comprends pas de (or le) francais"?

Since it's ne...pas de always, can you use le in this case or is it still de?

    je ne comprends pas le français.

    But you could say

    Je ne parle pas français (I dont speak french)

    or: Je parle un peu le français (I speak little french)

    OR: Désolé, je ne comprends pas... (Sorry, I don't understand.)

    ....le français.

    But you would say Je ne parle pas français.
