How well do you have to be a pianist to play a concerto?

I've been playing piano for 10 years now and I'm really considering going forward with piano from everyday hobby that consumes 40-1 hour of my time to more. I'd like to start playing concerti, but when people first start playing them...? My teacher is a teacher that I absolutely adore, but she hates arrogance (especially among her students) and here I am, curious on how well are pianists who play concerti. Approximately how well/how long when you first played (serious) concerti? Any ABRSM or levels in music attained? Of course, I know it depends on the concerti...how about, Mozart's last 8 concerti from K.466-K.595 and the like? Thanks!

Let me explain the situation: my dad is 48 and he's 212 pounds. He still thinks he's healthy (weird isn't it?) and he's a very stubborn guy. He practices Tai Chi, and he's a businessman and has very little free time. When he does have free time, it's spent watching television. When he was young, he used to be very skinny like 110 pounds. But around his thirties he started getting more obese until he reached today, around 212 pounds. Not to say that Tai Chi is bad or anything, but he rarely practices it and it's not really working. How can I get him to lose weight and how long will it take for him to lose 80 pounds if I get him to exercise?

All my friends are fantastic at sudoku and they LOVE it, but i don't, mainly because well, I can't solve those things. I just want to know for those sudoku solvers out there how do you solve them, is it natural ability, patience, or secret formula that I don't know about...? Thanks.

I personally think that even if we DO have racial profiling it WOULD NOT work. Notice that Islam is a RELIGION NOT A RACE...there ARE Americans who are Muslim!

Isn't it strange, that America, all against racism and sexism and freedom and fairness, has not already elected a woman president?
