Does this seem like a legit/good enough Ninjutsu school? Opinions?
I've been looking for different martial arts around the Brisbane area that I could use for my benefit but never really seemed to find it.
I know there's Jujitsu, BJJ, Muay-Thai, etcetera but I like Ninjutsu for its values and how it goes about in its way. Not just for self defence.
My friends tell me that never go for a school that brags about itself, any secret techniques, appeared on TV, blah blah. I've checked out others(I mean, a lot more others) and its kinda confusing. I just want other people's opinions on it.
I know that Ninjutsu has been getting some bad reps over the years but it seems like my kinda art.
PS. I asked for opinions not BS. thanks!

Personally, I have no experience with Paul Johnstone. Anybody who goes to Japan can get their photo with Hatsumi sensei. That said, I can vouch for the menkyo at the bottom of the "About Us" page being his 5th Dan certificate. If I'm reading it correctly, the menkyo above is a shidoshi certificate. This means that he, at the very least, holds the requisite organization certification to teach. He is a legitimate Bujinkan instructor.
I don't know Australia well... If you get the opportunity to the Preston and Regent area, Shihan Tim Bathurst is -excellent-, and I highly highly suggest training with him if at all possible. Plus he makes the best fukuro shinai you'll ever own :D
To answer your question: It's legit. Whether it's good or not will depend on your impression of the teacher. If you're too far away for Tim Bathurst, contact him and ask his opinion -- his opinion will be better than mine, and he'll undoubtedly have at least come across Paul Johnstone before and be able to attest to his movement if not his teaching.

Good luck, and welcome to the Bujinkan!

I think people like Bujinkan Ninja and OC Bujinkan are more qualified to answer this question, but for me, the site gives an overall impression of a solid, traditional dojo. The FAQ in particular is IMHO a sign of a good dojo. As usual, the only real way to see if this is for you or not, is to visit the school, watch a class or two and talk to the instructor. Best of luck.
