The approximate same, as an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Time percieved as a thread with a broken stitch, in the present,. If the stitch is connected in the correct time (the present) the future will not need a patch of nine stitches. (much like a single stitch in a knitted sweater, .

Look at the basic image - a pair of pants that is slightly torn. If you catch it at that point you may only have to sew it up with one or two stiches in order to make them wearable. If you wait, that tear is going to get much bigger, and you will have to do a lot more work.

Putting that into a more general idea - if you take care of a problem when its small, it will be quick and easy, but if it grows it can become a very time consuming and expensive problem. So.... make sure you change your oil when recommended so you dont have to replace the engine in your car.

if you have a small problem (something with a stitch loose) and you take 5 minutes to fix it now (sew it up) it saves you from having to fix an even bigger problem later on (more stitches become unravelled and you end up having to sew up a huge slip seam)
