Bibles, not Bible. They were compiled from various books, letters all of different ages and by different authors etc by committees or a single person. No doubt they prayed for divine guidance beforehand.

I do know that there was considerable controversy at one time about whether Revelation should be included and other material has turned up since which was excluded. Gospel of Thomas, for instance, which might or might not be "genuine", but the same could be said about some of the other material that was included.

The Roman Catholic version contains material excluded from some Protestant versions, and the Coptic version has material not in the Roman Catholic. The fact that some versions of the Bible contain material that others don't shows that some compilers doubted the validity of the guidance of the others.

The Bible is a collection of myths, songs, poems, narratives, and oral tradition that was created by a multitude of people of disparate beliefs over an expanse of time. All those texts were brought together and sorted out by the original Israelite priests to form what is known as the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible). The Holy Bible uses the Hebrew Bible as their Old Testament and created new texts for the New Testament. The canon for most Christians was finalized at the Council of Trent in 1546.

The Bible is a collection of religious and historic texts chosen by early church leaders.

No one believes that God wrote the bible but many Christians believe that God guided people to select certain writings and include them in the Bible and that the original text and subsequent translations from the original sundry languages were also so inspired. You may note that Catholics include several books that protestants do not. It is a very interesting history that you should do some research on.

I think it was written by a group of people who at first, had good intentions with it. This is just an opinion. Perhaps they wanted something to give to the people that could be followed so that they led better more humane lives with each other, kind of like a guide on being a good person, and then later got blown way out of proportion and taken extremely seriously to the point of hating others that refused to follow.

Written, thousands of years ago so it's outdated now, maybe they should get together again and add some things in like, don't hate people based on their sexual orientation as that doesn't tell you everything about that person and quit fighting about who believes in God and who doesn't.

It may also have been something to look at in times of desperation for hope, to make sense of why certain tragic events happen and to give people a false sense of security in times where nothing else would make sense. Like when a loved one dies.

The early parts of the OT (before 500bc) were plagiarised from Persian writings. The rest was written and collected by the jews over the next 500 years. The NT was collected and rewritten by the council of Nicea in about 300 ad.

We do not know when or who...exactly. How on the other hand.....Some of it was stolen from previous religion, some was taken from other religions of the time. Hence why there are so many like "characters" in other documented religions. Others were story's told over time. Allot of things that people do not understand become "magical" to some extent or another.

The christan religion has not been around since the beginning of time and this is a solid fact.

How? Well, part of it's the old testament. Talk about plagiarism!

When? I think it was semi finalized about 400 ACE.

Who? Many contributors, and don't forget the editors!

There were two divergent "end-of-the-world" stories considered for the armageddon slot.

How did it come together? Just like any other book, people. =D

Source(s): Memory for now, I'm pretty sure google will verify.

It started out as a written compendium of Ancient Hebrew mythologies that had, up until that point, been passed down only through oral storytelling.
