Can iMovie HD (AKA iMovie 6) import and edit MOD files?
I'm thinking about buying a JVC Everio camcorder that stores its files in the MOD format on SD cards. Anybody have any experience with this file type? In reading customer reviews of this camera, I'm getting the sense that this file format is a real problem for a lot of users. Are there any Mac users out there who've owned an Everio and/or dealt with movies in the MOD format? Any luck?
Well I did a bit of Googling and answered my own question. I found out that regardless of whether you're using a Mac or Windows, MOD files are a huge pain to deal with. I'm going to buy a camcorder that doesn't use them.

i am afraid imovie cannot import and edit MOD for that it can only support *
DV
* DV Widescreen
* HDV 1080i (25 and 30 fps)
* HDV 720p (25 and 30 fps)
* MPEG 4 Simple Profile
* iSight
so you have to converter the video format. http://www.flashconverterformac.com/video-to-flash...
