don't you think that charlotte should be called homestead instead of miami?

everything surrounds charlotte. most of the teams are centered there, the drivers live there, the hall of fame is there. so doesn't charlotte deserve that title?

Update:

i don't necessarily mean they change the name, i just think charlotte should have more of a title as "the home of nascar"

That's the name of the track so NASCAR wouldn't try to get the owners of the 2 tracks to change the name just because Homestead sounds better for the Charlotte track. It's not just a simple name change, imagine all of the things you have to change that has the track's name on it, plus Charlotte already had the track changed back to Charlotte Motor Speedway from Lowe's Motor Speedway when the rights ran out with Lowe's. Plus NASCAR isn't the only ones that race on that track so if that did happen it would seem like NASCAR was a stuck up "governing body" if they wanted the track names changed because most teams and stuff is around Charlotte. All of the tracks are privately owned not by NASCAR. Daytona and I think Talladega used to be owned by NASCAR but not anymore.

EDIT: Fans call it NASCAR Central and stuff like that.

No Charlotte is located in Charlotte, NC and Homestead is located in Homestead, FL just south of Miami. The names are the Cities the tracks are located in and not a reflection of what they mean to NASCAR.

Its called Miami-Homestead because the track is located near the city of Homestead, FL. Has nothing to with being a "home of NASCAR".
